Meet Dr Amy Luu

Dr Amy is completing speciality training in General Practice and brings a wealth of experience from hospital medicine. From her surgical days to caring for children and young families, Amy has looked after hospital patients across the lifespan. From here, she realised that the breadth and diversity of general practice was the place for her.

Amy is fascinated by the stories that shape a patient's medical journey. She holds a strong belief that holding a patient's journey at the centre of every consult, combined with best evidence-based medicine, results in compassionate and effective care. Amy endeavours to keep up-to-date with the latest evidence and research, continually strives to learn new skills (including trying to finally figure out what all those skin lesions mean!) and looks forward to honing her procedural skills.

Outside of the clinic space, Amy enjoys getting out in the great outdoors, maintaining an active lifestyle or being curled up with a good book. Amy strives to bring warmth and good humour to each consult and takes great responsibility in caring for her patients.

Amy is thrilled to be consulting at Maxwell Medical Group until January 2027, after which she will be taking some leave to welcome the newest addition to her little family!
